Meet your Portland Wedding Officiant

I'm an ordained interfaith minister with a doctoral degree in pastoral counseling who has been performing SBNR (spiritual but not religious) weddings, baby welcomings, house blessings, memorials and other rites of passage since 1995. My spiritual references draw from a wide range of inspirations, including Buddhism, Shamanism and Western mysticism, but I'm equally experienced in secular humanism and ceremonies without a spiritual component. I can help you create a meaningful, original ceremony that reflects your personal spiritual and social perspective, and offers a wealth of creative ideas that incorporate readings, rituals and practices from a variety of cultures, traditions and world views.

She met up with my wife and I prior to our wedding and asked us how we would like the ceremony to go. She gave examples of what other people do but she was willing to  listen and follow what my wife and I wanted. It was a beautiful ceremony and I think about it from time to time. There probably aren't a lot of reviews from mothers of the brides and grooms, and I'm happy to post one here.  She did such a beautiful job on the first wedding, that when my next two kids got married, they both wanted her to officiate.
